  1. Dear all, We are developing a solution with OpenSplice. To avoid repeated messages, we want to manually set the GUID for each subscriber. It's possible? We are looking for documentation but we have not found anything. Thank you!
  2. Hi, I have started using OpenSplice DDS Community edition and I am running OpenSplice examples to understand how it works. I am unable to establish communication between two applications. [One HelloWorld example (let us call this as A) with original IDL file, running on a separate Environment and another HelloWorld example (let us call this as B) with modified IDL, running in a different Environment] The original IDL file is as below (used by A): The modified IDL file is as shown below (used by B): The behavior between the two applications is as give
  3. I am currently in the process of evaluating OpenSplice DDS (non-community version). I would like to evaluate the RoundTrip time as dumped data via running the examples such as Ping Pong using the performance scripts located in the PerformanceScripts folder. However I am unable to get the script running and it produces the following error. ws@ws:~/ADLINK/Vortex_v2/Device/VortexOpenSplice/6.10.0p1/HDE/x86_64.linux/examples/dcps/PerformanceScripts$ ./Roundtrip Traceback (most recent call last): File "<string>", line 1, in <module> File "/tmp/pip-build-7PDWzR/PyInstaller/PyIns

  5. I am trying to set a VPN where there are two machines running DDS implementations in each side. However, although everything seems to be fine at the network layer (both machines can ping each other with the VPN IP addresses) I see no topics been matched, and therefore if I try to transfer information from one machine to the other nothign happnes. If I try to run the two pieces of code locally, they work and topics are interchanged with no issues at all. I believe that it could be related to DDS requiring multicasting (or the lack of), but I have tried to add multicast at both machines (ip
  6. I would like to run DDS OpenSplice (https://github.com/ADLINK-IST/opensplice/) with .NET Core instead of .NET Framework. I have created a Visual Studio project from scratch, targeting .NET Core 2.0, added the source files related to the HelloWorld example (https://github.com/ADLINK-IST/opensplice/tree/master/examples/dcps/HelloWorld/cs/src) and referenced the library dcpssacsAssembly.dll shipped in the OpenSplice package. The compilation is doing fine. The release directory belonging to the publisher of the HelloWorld example contains the following files: dcpssacs.netmodule &

  16. I am using Ubuntu 16.04 LTS for our testbed's server now. However, I'm not sure if DDS can support Ubuntu 16.04 LTS or not. If it can, is there any suggestion of how to install DDS on the server? And if it not support Ubuntu 16.04,is there any suggestion of what OS should we use for our server that DDS can support it. I see Vortex website, it support Ubuntu 14.04. Not sure that if I can use it directly on the Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. Thank you. Jeremy

  24. Hi, I am currently evaluating OpenSplice Community Edition to put together a small demo. I have a few questions: What is the difference between the Networking Service and DDSIE Service? Also is it possible to code in one application & config a DDS implementation that subscribes/reads on one network and then publishes/writes to a different network? [i want to subscribe to topics on one interface and then republish the data from those topics under new different topics on the other interface] e.g. ___________ Sub: Topic A Pub: Topic B ______________ | 10
  25. How do I programmatically changing domain ID? The OMG Spec calls out being able specify a domain id when you call "create participant" on the domain participant factory. But the opsl.xml file is overriding this. So is there a way to do it programmatically?
